Biography
| I received my 1st camera at age 9 which I enjoyed for many years as my family traveled all over the country. But my career ended up in the design and visual display world. only after losing a P.T. time job after a major hurricane in 2004 did I seriously pick up a camera again and experimented by doing everything "wrong". having learned the basics ,I was now free to break the rules and some startling results happened. Abstract and surreal were becoming my natural path. I belong to 5 art leagues and enter many contests as well as being represented in 3 galleries. I'm now on my 4th camera and my life long love of color can come out. I also enjoy B&w photography but my heart is in abstract landscape,macro and non-objective . I hope the viewer comes away with a fresh perspective after viewing my work. my painter friends say "she paints with her camera "I can't think of a higher compliment. art is joy ... |

Awards
- over the las 4 years of competetion have won over 30 ribbons and in 2006 was a runner up for Best new artist of the year here in SW florida. 3 commissioned pieces now hang in a $600 million Tower condo named Oasis in downtown Ft. Myers, Fl. also 3 juried pieces hang at the Sw International airport.
Education
- basically self taught but have taken many college level courses in art. also having been in the design world for over 20 years has taught me alot about the relationships between color,composition,space and balance.
